Hello, My name is Han Lin, (you can just call me Han). I am major in Economics BA and I am at forth year of study.

What I am interesting about the social media and personalized learning is the convenience for the students and instructor to interact with each other. I consider the social media is very exciting and convenience. The way it provides the contents to the students and make student have their option to choose how they want to study is one the best study method in my opinion. It can provide a platform for instructor to giving content or assignment, it can help him to know the student’s thought and make they study be much more interesting.

I am a university student right now, in my learning life, the digital tool provide a lot of help to succeed. The digital tool I have used in common is Brightspace, in UVic which I believed that many people has used before. It provide a platform to submit the work, taking the test and quizzes, and a place where I can ask question, communicate with classmate and the instructor. It provide a lot convenience in academic activity and give the class more flexible way to conduct the academic activity.

My understanding to the digital literacies is the effectiveness of digital media, such as how to improve the efficiency in the digital engagement. I consider it a very important. Because if the digital literacies is failed in social media and digital tool of educational. Then these format will inefficiency in the academic conduct, which whole class will be collapse. For conclusion, the digital literacies is very important for digital tool, otherwise it will make the digital engagement be very bad.

The PLN I have used, I would say the reddit, I used it to asking question about every field of academic, or some topic relate to the world. I can ask what philosophy is about, what critical thinking in term of philosophy about, or how to fix my car. By the growth of my life I start to ask question relate to my life, such as “what should I know about in this situation”, or ”Does anyone know how to prepare this interview”.

I still thinking how should develop and utilize my PLN in this course. I will develop my PLN through the digital platform with my groupmates, and friends. To keep the communication and learning what current is my field. I am learning and explore this method and I believe I will change my idea in the ongoing course.
